Majestic 2025

Majestic 2025

I have called the Majestic my home and primary residence since 2019. My wife Shari and I were initially drawn to the Majestic because of its strong sense of community and family-like atmosphere. For the first five years, I greatly enjoyed visiting the restaurant, whether alone or with Shari, and having the opportunity to share meals with the wonderful new friends I made in our vibrant community. Unfortunately, over the past year, that sense of camaraderie has started to fade, and I am committed to restoring the welcoming and inclusive environment that initially made the Majestic so special.

My career began in investment banking, where I had the privilege of working with firms such as Rothschild Inc. and Citicorp. In 1994, after several years in Hong Kong managing derivative and proprietary trading for Peregrine Investment Bank, I semi-retired and established my own family office. Today, I invest in private equity and real estate as a general partner, focusing on both ground-up development and acquisitions. I have invested in over 3,000 multifamily units and 5,000 hotel rooms, including properties under renowned brands such as Ritz Reserve, Ritz Carlton, Sheraton, and Hilton, as well as several restaurants in Manhattan. With access to top-tier management in both the hotel and multifamily sectors, I bring extensive experience in construction, finance, and operational oversight.

I am running for a position on the Majestic Condominium Board because I firmly believe that board members must always prioritize the best interests of all Majestic owners. The current board’s decision to replace the restaurant operator—without addressing the legitimate concerns raised by many unit owners—was deeply troubling. This included dismissing a petition organized by Ken Miller, which garnered 60 signatures in just two days, likely representing 60-70% of the occupied units at that time. This issue, combined with other concerns regarding the board's oversight, has inspired me to run for the board. I am committed to advocating for a more transparent, effective and inclusive approach to governance in our community. One of my priorities will be to establish multiple committees to encourage broader involvement. I urge all fellow owners to volunteer for these committees and become more engaged, so that the issues we experienced this past year are never repeated. As part of my commitment to accountability, I pledge that if I am elected to the board, I will immediately resign if 50 owners sign a petition requesting my resignation. I ask that all current candidates and board members adopt this pledge.

Please take the time to Google all candidates to get an honest and accurate perspective of who we are.
